On the 8 January we brought you a report on the Nintendo 3DS and a closer look at it from the guys over at Mashable. For the gaming world, release dates for the latest console are not too far away, Japan being the first in February and the US and Europe following on with a month later.
As well as crossing all the t’s and dotting the i’s before launch date, Nintendo it seems, have already thought of past mistakes in so much as making sure they are fully stocked with enough devices to go around. It has been noted via Pocketlint, that on the 3DS launch date in Japan on the 26 February, the gaming giants will be shipping around 1.5 million units, with the same to follow in March for the subsequent second release.
In a recent statement from Nintendo’s President Satoru Iwata he said, “Its important that we ensure a continuous supply.” With gaming consoles already on the current market including those of mobile phone platforms and the news of more announcements from the CES show, it will be paramount for Nintendo to bring the 3DS to market on the proposed dates as well as having the appropriate stock quantities.
