There has been much speculation over the last few months, about when we will see Apple’s next generation iPad and also specifications? We have brought you subsequent reports on shots and rumors over shipping dates, iPad case listings being advertised and then pulled off Alibaba’s website page, and mock ups of the device spotted at the CES show in Las Vegas. So does any of this news bring us closer to finding out when the tablet will be arriving?
Today, news from Devicemag.com has reported that the Apple iPad 2 is looking more than likely to make an debut appearance in the next few days. This follows on with tweets from Kevin Rose Founder of Digg, who has made it known via his blog, that finding out on good authority, he suggests that Apple’s tablet will be coming in the next 3-4 weeks therefore making it a February 1 release. It is difficult to gauge in percentage terms, how likely this is, as reports over recent weeks have made reference to it coming in March.
As our source stated, one of the questions that has been raised about specifications, is that of a Retina Display with better resolution? Will it incorporate this? According to Rose via his source, the device will include a higher “dpi” but not necessary a Retina Display, something that Apple will certainly need to improve from its predecessor. Low resolution has been noted as a concern on the first generation.
With the Consumer Electronics Show in full swing and ending on the 9 January, tablets such as the Motorola Xoom have already made an entrance giving us exceptional high resolution.
