Mac App Store Error 100 On Purchasing Apps: Any Other Problems?

Earlier today we reported that the Mac App Store had officially been launched, this is seen as brilliance on the part of Apple. They have introduced one of their most successful selling points that they had on their mobile devices to the machines that previously didn’t have it, although we have been hearing of problems.

Many users are experiencing an error code which you can see below, the error code 100. The error has caused many people a bit of grief since they upgraded the software on their Mac to the new OS X Snow Leopard to gain access to purchasing and downloading apps. Back to the error 100, this has been caused by the terms and conditions as some users aren’t getting prompted to accept. If you don’t accept the terms and conditions you will get an error.

There’s an easy way to fix this issue, simply quit the store and re-open it. We have heard a couple of instances where this hasn’t fixed it, in these cases, restart your machine and try it again. The old fashioned helpdesk style “turn it off and back on again!”

What we want to know from you though is if you are experiencing any other problems so far? Let us know in the comments below.

The reason i think is because you need to accept the new terms and conditions first. To do that, i just quit the app store, re-opened it, tried to install something and then it came up, and all is well

I have trouble downloading iPhoto on a second computer although purchased with the same account on a different Mac. The App shows up in the shopping list, but as soon as I try to download it, I get this message

I can't get it to accept my apple username and password. The screen area will only let me create new account.

Error 100 caused my iMac to crash and go to grey screen. So after soft reboots and switching it of and on ….and all the other stuff, i eventually had to recover the entire system from Time Machine. A very long slow waste of time. Lesson learned - just because it is Apple does not mean it will not cause problems. Always wait before downloading new software !
