CES 2011: Sony’s Pocket Sized 3D Camcorder

With the CES 2011 well under way, we have another great new product to show you from Sony. Its a small camcorder called the Bloggie that slips nicely in to your pocket. Did I mention it records in 3D by the way?

Do not be fooled by the tiny device as it packs quite a punch with the capability of crystal clear 1080p recording. The Bloggie 3D is also bringing a first look at glasses free 3D which we will see more of this year, with the Nintendo 3DS and small line of TVs that are being planned by Toshiba.

Cnet has given us a breakdown of the specifications and the Bloggie comes with a tiny 2.4 inch screen and 2.7 inch rear display, where you will also find 2 cameras, 2 sensors and an LED light. The camcorder also comes with 8GB of internal memory, a stereo mic, MP4 recording format and 5-megapixel stills.

You may have noticed by the image above, courtesy of Electric Pig that the Bloggie comes with a pop out USB connector. No official release date has been given yet; however we can tell you that the Bloggie will be sold for about £160. Leave us your thoughts on the tiny 3D camcorder and tell us if you plan to buy one.
