CES 2011: Motorola 4G phones – Atrix and Droid Bionic

Here at OSM we’re loving bringing you all the news from CES 2011 and earlier today posted about the Motorola Xoom tablet giving you details of a hands-on experience with the Android 3.0 Honeycomb device. We thought now that it would be a good idea to take a look at two Motorola 4G phones that have also been revealed.

Cecilia Kang over on The Washington Post tells us of the Motorola Droid Bionic 4G Android phone which will be available for the Verizon 4G LTE network. AT&T has not been left out though as the Motorola Atrix was also revealed which will run on its 4G network.

You can see more about both of these new phones over on Engadget. Firstly Chris Ziegler has given a hands-on preview of the Droid Bionic which impressed with its speed, will run on Android 2.2 and apparently has 2GHz processing power. You can see plenty of photos along with a video at the above link.

Secondly Myriam Joire on Engadget tells more about the Motorola Atrix 4G and along with a hands-on look at the phone also reports on the HD multimedia dock and the laptop dock. The Atrix runs on Android Froyo with a dual-core processor and has a 5-megapixel camera, dual-LED Flash, fingerprint reader and also impressed with its speed. Again there’s a video of the phone hands-on. What are your thoughts on these 4G Motorola phones? We’d welcome your comments on this.

  1. I like to try it first before commenting but I cannot wait! I must say that this device (Atrix) looks very promising. This concept is a first I believe. For years, Apple has been leading the market in terms of innovations so it’s good to see other companies trying to squeeze some juice out of their brains to produce a product such as this one. I really hope that Motorola can keep up the good work!
