News about Android 2.3 Gingerbread, the new operating system is coming thick and fast at the moment and only a couple of days ago we posted how the new OS would soon be coming to Verizon users. Within the last hour we also wrote about how the Android 2.3 source code is now available to download.
Now we hear yet more news of Gingerbread, this time with a video and this will interest a lot of you as it shows Android 2.3 running on a Samsung Galaxy S. Vlad Savov over on Engadget revealed this news, sourced from supercurio on the xda-developers forum, who has managed to port the OS from the Nexus S onto a Samsung Galaxy S.
There may be a few functions that don’t work so far such as voice, WiFi and GPS but if you check out the video below this story you can see it still looks pretty slick.
