Wagner & Rooney: Facebook’s Most Wanted

Yesterday we bought you news of Facebook and it’s hottest searched topics and status updates for 2010. On looking at recent analysis, results indicated that the most-talked about topics over the last 12 months were the World Cup, Justin Bieber, Haiti, Chilean Miners, iPad and iPhone 4 and so on. The favored phrase used on status updates was that of “HMU” meaning to text or call. Following on from this, we can now bring you even more top trend results.

Over at Metro, the survey taken from 26 million British user’s status updates, also confirmed that both Manchester United‘s footballer “Wayne Rooney” and X-Factor’s “Wagner” were particularly popular amongst fans. For Wagner, he beat off the likes of boy band “One Direction” and “Cher Lloyd.”

Other searched topics according to Press Association included that of, entertainment show “Celebrity Juice,” music’s “Tinie Tempah,” Big Brother’s “John James,” and current news on the British troops fighting overseas.
