Katy Perry Tweets Appeal For Next Single

For fans of American pop sensation “Katy Perry,” news had come through that on networking site Twitter, you, along with other avid fans, could help choose Katy’s next track off her recent album “Teenage Dream.” With the site on a mission to dominate it’s counterparts such as Facebook and MySpace, Twitter is growing in celebrity users and it is being used to announce events plus good and bad news.

Over the course of the weekend, the star who married comedian and actor Russell Brand in October, tweeted to her fans, “PEOPLE u are the reason why I’m here, SO what song off of TEENAGE DREAM do you want to blow up NEXT?!. Put a # next to the song YOU want!” MTV stated, that after a massive response including the likes of Perez Hilton tweeting his love for “Peacock,” Katy announced that she had been given a clear winner and was glad to say that ,”Your voice has been heard! We’re on the same page…”

The 26-year old star has made a name for herself with hit singles such as ‘California Gurls,” “Teenage Dream,” and her latest song “Firework,” is proving to be top of the pops reaching number one on the billboard charts. On finding this out, digitalspy said Katy tweeted, “Just found out that #FIREWORK has gone to #1 on the BILLBOARD charts!” AMAZING! Thank U so much! That’s 3 songs from Teenage Dream in a row!”
