At the end of November we reported that a host of celebrities were giving up Twitter, but it was not what you thought. They decided to stop tweeting until they could raise $1 million for the ‘Keep a Child Alive” charity. However, things have not gone according to plan.
According to NYPOST, celebs such as Lady Gaga, User and Justin Timberlake were a little shocked and frustrated at how long it was taking, as they only reached $500,000 in six days, they had thought that they could raise the $1 million in a day. As a result they managed to get Stewart Rahr to put up the other $500,000 needed.
This means that those mentioned above along with Alicia Keys, Khloe Kardashian and Ryan Seacrest can now start tweeting again. Apparently Usher grew impatient and could not wait that long and started tweeting on Sunday – that certainly went against the spirit of the cause.
According to Ryan Seacrest from E! Online he said that it does not matter if people were reluctant to donate money to resurrect these stars, as the $1 million was still raised. Do you think that these celebs now think that they are not as important on Twitter as they first thought?
