Froyo comes to T-Mobile’s Samsung Galaxy S users

T-Mobile customers who own a Samsung Galaxy S will be pleased to hear that the Android 2.2 update is ready and waiting for them. Better known as “Froyo“, the update will be rolled out to users gradually today, with some lucky customers even getting it yesterday.

T-Mobile support has spoken about the release on their forum and said: “The aim was and still is to have the FOTA update available at some point today. If for reasons without our control we are unable to have a FOTA update process fully functioning by close of play today, then we will make the update available for download via Samsung KIES tomorrow”. For users who were unable to download 2.2 yesterday, then it most certainly should be available for you today.

According to Electric Pig, if you are unable to get the update from over the air then it will be made accessible via Samsung KIES as an alternative.

Hopefully if you are a Galaxy S user then you should have received your update by now. If so tell us what you think if it, and we also want to hear from those of you who for some reason have not recieved it yet.

Froyo 2.2 update went smoothly. All working and much better, wireless has better signal, Google maps loads a lot quicker. Some new apps installed by default, haven't had time to go through them yet. Flash 10.1 support is great. BBC iPlayer works fine (only wifi). Overall, I'm impressed!
