Arsenal Won Over Spurs With 2.5 Million Facebook Fans

Rivalry between two of London’s biggest football teams, Arsenal and Tottenham HotSpur has always been a topic of conversation. I have to admit being a gunner’s fan myself, news from today has bought a little smile to my face. Reports have indicated that online social networking site Facebook has proved to be a good way for Arsenal fans to communicate with one another. In fact so much so that they have attracted more people than Spurs supporters.

The Gunners have pulled in a whooping 2.5 million followers compared to that of it’s North London neighbours Spurs seeing 236,000. Metro has reported that in other football Premier League news, big teams such as Manchester United attract more users to Facebook than the London teams enticing some 5 million followers and Manchester City with 277,000.

If you are more of an Everton fan, then you will be pleased to learn that the number one networking site is seeing some 97,000 followers in comparison to Liverpool with some 39,000.
