Verizon iPhone Sales Forecast: Not Good For AT&T

Whilst it would be brilliant for Apple and for Verizon to have an iPhone running on the Verizon network, it spells bad news for AT&T. When this eventually goes ahead it could mean 18 million extra sales for Apple. Currently AT&T has exclusivity over the Apple iPhone but would users switch to the Verizon network if the iPhone was available on it?

I believe that Verizon are seeing the iPhone as their way forward, they already have various Android devices but to get the iPhone and have subscriptions to it would greatly enhance their revenue. To learn more about the figures surrounding this head over to by clicking here.

The iPhone has proved to be one of the most popular devices ever, I didn’t have an iPhone until the iPhone 4 and now I would feel a little lost without it, not entirely but a little.

We told you before that it would be just a matter of time until we had a Verizon iPhone, it seems we were right. The developments have been materializing, although we haven’t had official confirmation. Can AT&T survive without their iPhone exclusivity? Only time will tell. Will Verizon be the biggest network ever? Let me know your thoughts in the comments below.

Mr Ollason.. you raise some good points..
in addition.. one can not intelligently argue against the iphone's complete dominance of smart phone manufacturers.. (globally).. apple's phone stands as the benchmark by which most consumers judge other smart phones.. wether perceived or fact the iphone is currently viewed as the best smartphone.. the sales figures show such.. given the extremely robust and profound capabilities of the iphone,, the absolute ingredient and bringing ridiculous global connectivity,, will be the pairing of LTE technology and the iphone as well as the international mobile technology and communication carriers adopting a single technology standard.. that would be very nice.. traveling around the planet with a single PCD (portable communication device) and never losing connectivity.. ever..
"to those of you that understand,, no explanation necessary.."
"to those of you that do not understand,, there can be no explanation.."
wake up people.. think for yourselves..

Apple better get the iPhone out to Verizon soon or Android Developers will catch up to Apple in the Apps department and Apple will lose it's lead.

I have an Android phone, ipod touch, ipad .. I can say that the Android apps have a lonnnnnnnng way to go to get even close to being as high quality as iOS apps. I don't think Apple needs to be in too too big a rush. But when that iPhone hits Verizon, I'm there.

My son and I got the Droid 1 the day it came out. We were in the Apple store yesterday trying the iPhone 4. We can't wait to get one as soon as Verizon gets em. Android has a looooong way to go to catch Apple. Many of the android apps are crap. They don't work on all the phones and, ahem, google has stretched themselves way too far. The android app market comments are FILLED with spam. Google does nothing about it - couldn't care less. Google Finance crashes about 30 times a day on me. Can't tell you how many times I have missed a turn waiting for google maps to catch up.

Yes open source or closed system. Its the new Republican Democrat divided. Personally I would never give Apple a dime and keep my hardware and software mine and not on loan from Steve Jobs and company. What can you do with an iPhone that you can't do on a Android or do the shinny buttons and form enthrall you?

  6. Jim says:

Umm it is not Republican/Democrat but Honda/GM. Both will do pretty much the same thing. Difference is the Honda will do it very reliably for 200,000 miles while the GM pretty much starts falling apart the day you drive it out of the showroom. By 100,000 miles it is ready for the junkyard. I've had both several times and it never fails to hold true. Same is for computers. The Apple macs tend to be much higher quality and perform much better over time than cheap Dells. Cell phones - no different. Apple tightly controls everything. Yeah the Apple products cost more but they are higher quality and perform more reliably. Right now Android is a fragmented MESS and Google is doing NOTHING about it. I have had a Droid since day 1. The phone is now very slow, google gps barely drags along, the phone crashes a lot, updates are rare and far and few between. Android for me is one and done. BYE BYE ANDROID - Hello VERIZON iPHONE!!!!!

I am studying in computer information systems. I did a little studying of droid and iphone. I believe opening up for competitor’s will set nothing but profit. Verizon is one of the largest carrier’s. And one thing about Verizon customers, their loyal. Their service is the best. I’m sure there are a lot of Verizon customer that want a iphone, but they would not leave Verizon for just for the choice of a phone.
