Palm Pre 2 webOS 2.0 Review: Disappointing Screen Size

For those of you interested in the Palm Pre 2 we told you previously that you could get hold of one which was unlocked directly from HP, you can read a bit more about that here. We are also going to bring you a review of the Palm Pre 2 as well as it’s specs and features.

The Palm Pre 2 looks and feels a lot like the Palm Plus but it has been beefed up a little inside. The new display is flat which is a step forward and gives the feeling of solidity. So what has it got? Well the specs of the device are as follows. It has a 1GHz processor with 512 MB RAM, 16GB’s of integrated storage, a full QWERTY keyboard and it runs on the HP webOS 2.1 and it has a 3.1 inch display capable of 320×480 pixels. If you wish to learn more about the specs and the look and feel of the new Palm product then head over to ZDNet.com.

Now I don’t know about you but smartphones seem to be moving towards the larger screen sizes with better quality. I am not sure if the screen on the Palm Pre 2 is quite up to the challenge with the likes of Apple’s iPhone 4 in contention. Although if you go to the HP website… the Palm Pre 2 has sold out already.

Could this prove to be a competitor in a crowded market? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.

palm pre 2 is definitely a contender in the growing smartphone race because it handles things like multitasking, texting, and updates better than other phones I’ve used. Instead of interrupting your workflow it pops up at the bottom and you can ignore it without touching it unlike the iPhone. Multitasking on other phones is also not as pkeasant. The iPhone makes you stop and pay attention to something else and then return to work or play. Personally, webOS is the best.
