We are all eagerly awaiting the iOS 4.2 update from Apple for the iPad but already we are seeing different things coming out that will be using the new iOS, this being one of them, are reporting that following the release you will be able to watch live TV on your iPad or iPhone. Now that is pretty cool!

What they are saying is that you would need to have your iPad, iPhone or iPod touch (fourth generation) and a local 802.11n WiFi network. The installation of the EyeTV Netstream will need to be done on your PC or your MAC to start with and once the installation is complete you don’t need your computer.

Onto the important bit… how much does it cost? Well according to the app will cost $5 and it is compulsory that users must download the app and install it from iTunes. Something to remember is that the current iOS for the iPad 3.2.2 will currently not support this new feature however when we get the iOS 4.2 update it will, where as the iPhone as it is already on 4.1 will already support it. Head over to to read their full article.

What do you think of this? Is it worth the $5? Let me know in the comments below?

According to their website and iTunes this requires a Mac. There is no suggestion it will work with a Pc as per this article!
