If you’re a fan of Formula One then you’ll most likely agree that today’s Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, the closing race of the F1 2010 season, provided all the thrills and drama that we hoped for. The suspense had really built-up this year as the F1 Drivers’ World Championship was still up for grabs and earlier we told you about the BBC Formula 1 Twitter Feed which brings you all the inside news from the world of Formula 1 from the BBC team.
The race today was won by Sebastian Vettel and that meant he became the new F1 Drivers’ World Champion, the youngest ever at the age of only 23. It was an emotional Vettel on the radio to his team after he crossed the line, and on the podium we again saw raw emotion as he was handed the trophy. Now of course, Twitter is abuzz with everybody’s response to Vettel’s victory.
If you check out the F1 World Champion Twitter feed here you’ll see all the fans’ reaction and news such as this from jwunrow, “Sebastian Vettel wins 2010 #F1 World Championship! Never lead in points all year, he jumped from 3rd to become youngest ever F1 champion!” Or how about this from amirrulkhirudin, “what a race, the best F1 race I ever saw,and even better, vettel is the world champion.”
Flicko tweets, “Massively impressed with Vettel becoming youngest ever #F1 World champion. Brilliant!” Taking a close look at all the tweets coming up I have to say that the fact that Sebastian Vettel is the new world champion seems to be really popular, in fact I can’t actually see any that don’t seem to be in favour or that are saying negative things, at the moment. We’d be really interested to hear your thoughts about the Formula One 2010 season so why not let us have your comments.
