Call of Duty: Black Ops Stolen Before Release Date

For gamers the wait is nearly over, Call of Duty: Black Ops is nearly here. On November 9 in the U.S. the release of the highly anticipated game will be upon us. But it seems that some people cannot wait for that date. Reports have come through of a stash of games being stolen by armed robbers.

This weekend two robbers planned a job that would see them bursting into a GameStop store in Baltimore USA, brandishing handguns and making off with 100 copies of the first person shooting game. According to CVG, the robbers made off with four full cases of Black Ops, cash, as well as gaming consoles. Not bad for a weekend’s work!

Here at OSM, we only reported two weeks ago on illegal copies of the game being distributed to parts of America along with developers of Black Ops “Treyarch” having to hire out private investigators and counterfeit experts to recover some of the goods. Unfortunately it’s news like this that can spoil it for the rest of you.

Do you think after waiting for such a long time for a game release could drive you to commit a crime? Let us know. To find out more log onto CVG.
