Tomorrow October 31, will see the release of the new Sony Ericsson Xperia “X10” mobile phones. We have a lot to look forward to with models such as the X10, X10 Mini and X10 Mini Pro. News has come through today that instead of the handsets being launched with Gingerbread or Froyo, they will instead incorporate Android 2.1.
According to Zach at BGR, for those of you who get an AT&T X10, you may have to wait into next month for this latest version. As well as already having some fantastic features, the Sony X10 range updates will now give users 720p video capture with autofocus on the Sony Xperia X10, and a new backup/restore app on all three models.
In particular, the Xperia X10 will offer 5 home screens for apps, widgets, shortcuts and folders, a social network feature which will allow you to see what friends have logged onto Facebook and automatically syncs pictures. If you decide to venture with the X10 Mini and X10 Mini Pro, then you can expect to see improved bluetooth, new ways of sorting through pictures, audio, text and numbers in your messages.
What do you think of the three X10 handsets running on Android 2.1? Let us know. To find out more log onto BGR.
