On October 14, we reported on the subsequent release of the Apple iPad in Verizon and AT&T stores which was due for launch today. We can confirm that yes, the tablet has arrived in both stores.
For the big red Verizon, you will be pleased to learn that bundles of the MiFi 2200 mobile hotspot with choice of 16GB, 32GB and 64GB models will be retailed at prices ranging from $629, $729 and $820. Data per month can be selected without a contract ranging from 1GB ($20), 3GB ($35) and 5GB ($50).
Thomas at Engadget reported that if you are looking to steer towards AT&T, you will be able to enjoy WiFi + 3G versions of the iPad incorporating a 16GB ($629), 32GB ($729) and 64GB ($829) again with contract-free data plans of 250MB of data ($14.99) or 2GB of data ($25) per month with the option of AT&T’s 23,000 + domestic WiFi hotspots. Engadget also commented on international plans being offered from 20MB for $24.99 per month up to 200MB for a cost of $199.99 per month.
