BlackBerry Bold 9780: Official Release Date And Price

Speculation for some time has surrounded BlackBerry Bold’s 9780 official release date and price. Research in Motion has finally given us some information that is sure to put a smile on your face today.

It seems that the new BlackBerry handset will be the first Bold to incorporate BlackBerry 6 OS which will come with a fantastic design and features along with an expected carrier release date of the beginning of November. T-Mobile USA on the other hand, will be bringing the handset to us on the 17 November at a retail price of $129.99 on a two-year contract. Features will include external QWERTY keyboard, WebKit-based browser giving the user HTML web pages at the click of a button, 5 MP camera, 3G/Wi-Fi built in, GPS for accessibility to location-based apps such as Foursquare, 512MB Flash memory as well as microSD slot expanding the memory up to 32GB.

Darren at Engadget reported that, Vice President of Product Management at RIM Carlo Chiarello has said, “We are very excited to introduce the BlackBerry Bold 9780 featuring the new BlackBerry 6 operating system. This new model builds on the highly refined mobile experience that BlackBerry Bold users already know and love and delivers a wide range of enhancements including a rich new user interface, a fast and powerful WebKit-based browser, broadly improved communications and multimedia capabilities, an incredibly useful Universal Search feature and a high quality 5MP camera.”

At this present stage, we only have T-Mobile’s confirmed release date and price and an expected date of November for other carriers. When we receive more information we will update you.
