ESPN Scores With Sony Ericsson To Bring Goals On Xperia

For those of you out there who possess a Sony Ericsson mobile phone and consider themselves a football fanatic, may be interested to hear news today of a new partnership with ESPN. It will enable you to catch all the latest footie goals and highlights of your favorite team(s).

According to Pocket-Lint, ESPN the American entertainment and sports programming network has come to an agreement with the Premier League, to now give “Xperia” users the ability to watch all Premier League goals and more, direct onto their mobile handset with a free app for a limited time. As with other things, subscription costs are from £3.99 per month or £29.99 a season. The sports network which markets itself to be the “Worldwide leader in sports” will now show goals for free within the first 3 months, to anyone who purchases an Sony Xperia (X10, X10 mini, mini-pro) between now and 26 November.

We do know already that this has proved successful as a free download on Android and iPhone devices. Commercial Director “Robin Ashton” at ESPN Digital has said, “There has been a dramatic growth in mobile content in recent years, with consumers demanding instant access to sporting highlights, we promise instant entertainment for all footie fans on the go.”
