Microsoft Launching New “Games for Windows” Browser Store

Microsoft, one of the biggest technological companies in the world will now be setting up an online “Games for Windows Live” store. News came through today that on November 15, the new feature will enable its users to purchase at least 100 digital copies of games direct from any computer browser.

According to Stan Schroeder at Mashable, not only will users be able to access the online store from any PC but will benefit from “ultra-fast” downloads. Searching has been made easier by typing in a specific game title or genre. Information will be sourced including any current deals and discounts on the game including “Deal of the Week” as well as other offers at different times of the year. For those of you who are interested, the purchasing of games has been made easy by using Microsoft Points or a credit card.

This latest “Games for Windows Marketplace” can be compared to that of browser-based “Windows Games on Demand store” which took its place as Games for Windows Live online service. By putting the online store straight into the browser, it will save time when coming to purchase a game. Gamers by the middle of next month will be able to enjoy games such as Grand Theft Auto III, Halo, Flight Simulator, Dead Rising 2, Gears of War and Fable III.
