Nintendo Announce New “Wii Remote Plus” 5 November

Nintendo’s Wii Motion, was introduced in June last year as an add on to the original Wii controller. The use of a twin axis tuning fork gyroscope, allowed rotational motion to be transferred via sensor into your Wii gaming world.

While the Motion extension added extra bulk to the controller, Nintendo have now announced their planned release of Wii Remote Plus into Europe.

Pocket-Lint reports that the new controller will be available from the fifth of November. It’s operation is exactly the same as the previous Motion but with the benefits of being built into the standard controller. It is said to give you “an incredible level of precision and game-play accuracy without the need of additional add-ons.”

When it hits the shelves you will be able to pick up the Wii Remote Plus in a range of colours, white, blue, pink or black. We are not sure if there will be a red version to match the Anniversary Edition Wii Console that we recently reported on, but you never know. Prices as yet have not been released.

Are you a fan of Nintendo‘s Wii Motion? Can you see the benefits of an all-in-one controller? Give us your thoughts. Log onto Pocket-Lint for more information.
