Lego Release New “Play & Build” Wii Remote

Nintendo’s Wii has been up against some stiff competition recently, with the release of Sony’s PS Move and the soon to be released Kinect system from Microsoft. Nintendo’s easy to use console has seen some interesting introductions, one of which is the 25th Anniversary edition red Wii, in celebration of Super Mario Bros.

Well even if your unable to get hold of this latest edition console (originally only for release in Japan, but now reportedly available for Europe), there is another alternative according to Gizmodo, that will brighten up your gaming experience.

LEGO, known the world over for furnishing every child’s ambition to become either a construction engineer, car designer or builder, have now introduced their version of the Wii Remote. The official LEGO branded controllers give you the chance to decorate your remote with colourful LEGO bricks.

Obviously there is really no gaming advantages of this new addition, but the fun side is clear to see. You will be able to pick one up for $40 later on this week. Why don’t you check it out and give us your thoughts. Log onto Gizmodo for more information.
