Legend: “Tony Curtis” Honored On Twitter

Sad news has filtered through today, on the death of a Hollywood legend, 85-year old “Tony Curtis”. For online social networking site “Twitter”, it has been a day of remembrance. TMN News have reported on thousands of people leaving their tributes on the site.

The American legend had starred alongside Marilyn Monroe in hit film “Some Like It Hot”, where he played a musician on the run from gangsters. In 1959, he went on to play a role as an escaped convict in the “The Defiant Ones” alongside Sydney Poitier, which earned him an Oscar.

Curtis had starred in some 100 films since 1949, as well as many television appearances in the 60‘s and 70‘s.

On Wednesday morning, following on from a heart attack, Curtis died peacefully at his home in Nevada.
