Twitter “Mouseover” Bug Affecting Users Accounts

For online social networking site “Twitter”, reports have indicated that possibly thousands of its accounts will be affected with a new computer bug that works solely on “mouse over”. This basically means, that for anyone opening up their account, the possibility is, that they will be diverted to other websites without permission being given.

According to Stan Schroeder at Mashable, this latest bug to hit our screens can redirect the user instantly with just the mouse hovering over a link, and then the person will be bombarded with meaningless pop-ups and other websites.

Advice today from Twitter, is that anyone wanting to access their account should do so using apps such as “TweetDeck”. The bug presently seems to be affecting just the Twitter interface page. The site has yet to comment on the bug that could potentially affect thousands of its users!
