Facebook: Partnering Rotten Tomatoes for movie-review social networking

Rotten Tomatoes, the online movie review site has announced that it is joining forces with Facebook to add social media features to its website. The Flixster-owned site has taken Facebook’s Instant Personalization features to embody site content for each individual guest upon arrival.

According to Mashable, the new personalization features can be seen in the “Movies Your Friends Like,” “Friends Activity” and “Movies Recommended For You” sections. Upon visiting the Rotten Tomatoes website you give your Facebook details and all of the related information from your friends show up.

You can rate all of the films you have seen from 1-5 stars and then your rating will be shown on your profile for friends to see. A film will get an overall percentage based on the amount of stars it got from you and your friends. You can also get plenty more movie information and news from the recent partnership between the two companies.

If you are a fan of film then you may be planning to see “The Social Network“, which is based on Mark Zuckerberg and the creation of Facebook. If you enjoyed this article then you may want to see our other one which can be found by using the link above.
