Chad Ochocinco Fined for Using Twitter during Preseason Game

NFL star Chad Ochocinco – a wide receiver for the Cincinnati Bengals – appears to have got himself in trouble with the NFL again. The former “DWTS” contestant has just been hit with a fine of $25,000, for posting messages on Twitter during a recent preseason game.

According to usatoday.com, Chad was fined the hefty amount for violating two league policies – the first was for having an electronic device during the game, and the second was posting messages onto a social media website when players are prohibited to do so.

Under the policy, players are prohibited from using sites such as Twitter and Facebook from 90 minutes before the game kicks off, up until the completion of the post-game media sessions. However, Ochocinco – who is a keen Tweeter – took to his Twitter account during prohibited times.

One tweet was posted shortly after Chad was leveled, and read: “Man Im sick of getting hit like that, it’s the damn preseason (expletive)!” He continued it on by saying: 1day I’m gone jump up and start throwing haymakers.” You can read more via usatoday.com.
