For Evernote, the popular note-taking and archiving software company is still increasing in user numbers by the day. To date, the company has 4 million registered users. Since its launch into open-beta back in 2008 users are enjoying benefits to this software including putting notes onto formatted text documents, webpages, voice memos, photographs or notes in the form of handwritten text. These can then be placed into specific folders if required. Added to this, the company have now launched their own app store “Evernote Trunk”.
According to Ben Parr at Mashable, Evernote are keen to let everyone know their rising success. Although the software company steadily watched numbers increase to one million users in the first 446 days, it just proves how popular Evernote have become when you look at the user count since then, of 3 million to 4 million users in just 108 days.
Evernote’s success can be put down to the continuous growth of users accessing the software via their mobile applications. Many of Evernote’s users have the benefit of using their iPhone app. Currently Evernote is available on operating systems such as BlackBerry OS, Android, Apple iOS and Windows Mobile. Figures show that whilst iPhone usage is tipping the scales with more than half of mobile platform usage, Android accounts for Evernote are showing in the region of 20% and iPad just creeping up by 17%.
