Facebook Live Video Channel: Different to Ustream and Livestream

Online social networking site Facebook is increasing in user numbers and a recent announcement has been made that Facebook will be offering a brand new app called “Facebook Live”. Currently, the popular site is used as a platform for allowing users to view live video but now this recent news will allow Facebook to go it alone!

According to Adam Ostrow at Mashable who reported on this, Facebook are hoping that they will be offering a more unique service compared to its competitors such as Ustream and Livestream that offer live video features such as Facebook pages. To date, the 500 million users of the site will now benefit from being able to see what is the latest news on Facebook. This could include new features from employees and special events taking place such as conferences that may be lead by Mark Zuckerberg (CEO).

As of yet, this new Facebook Live app has not been widely publicised but is soon to be tested out by actress “American Ferrera”. Whatever, the outcome, it has been chosen to compete against the official live video partner “Livestream”.
