Friendship Day 2010: SMS and Quotes

Traditionally, the first Sunday of the month of August is celebrated with Friendship Day. It is celebrated as a holiday in the U.S. and is said to be in honor of the Proclamation by U.S. Congress in 1935. It’s a day to remind all of our wonderful friends how much we love them and how much they mean to us.

According to Jamie Rose Tan at The Daily Tech News, to celebrate this special day, quotes, SMS and messages can be looked at and passed on to our treasured friends. Check out some of the quotes and sayings, and why not make some of your own up!

Quotes from E.W. Howe such as “Probably no man ever had a friend that he did not dislike a little”. Or what about “Friendship is like a perennial river which flows forever, it may change it’s path but will never ever dry up”.
