Microsoft Kinect for Xbox 360: Video demos

As many of you will know, the 2010 Electronic Entertainment Expo – also known simply as E3 2010 – has been taking place this week and this year’s event, was all about motion control. And it was Microsoft who kicked off this year’s announcements, at their Monday press event.

Of course, one of the highly anticipated reveals on Monday was the Microsoft Kinect, for the Xbox 360. According to Barb Dybwad at mashable.com, Microsoft was on the show floor on, showing off several of the 15 launch titles that will come with Kinect on launch.

Games such as “Kinect Sports,” “Kinectimals,” “Kinect Joy Ride” and “Kinect Adventures,” all showcase the concept behind the Kinect system for the Xbox 360 gaming console. It gets rid of the controller entirely, and uses your own body to interact with the games you’re playing.

In the video below this post – courtesy of mashable.com – it shows one or more players waving, jumping, driving, bowling and more, just using their body motions. It’s similar to what Nintendo did with the Wii console, but without having to hold anything in your hands.
