iPhone Commercial Parody Video: Ellen Upsets Apple

It looks like talk show host, comedienne and “American Idol” judge Ellen DeGeneres has had a bit of apologizing to do recently, after she aired a parody of an Apple iPhone commercial during Monday night’s “Ellen DeGeneres Show.”

According to a recent article at mashable.com, DeGeneres said that the iPhone manufacturer Apple, weren’t too pleased with her iPhone commercial spoof, which depicted the star fumbling with the handset while trying (and failing) to send a text message.

“The people at Apple didn’t think it was so funny,” Ellen said about the spoof during her show. She continued on to say “They thought I made it look like it’s hard to use and I just want to say I’m sorry if I made the iPhone look like it was hard to use.”

Did you just happen to watch Ellen’s iPhone parody at all? If you did what exactly did you think of it? Apple’s reaction to the spoof and Ellen’s subsequent apology will no doubt bring up some interesting questions about freedom of speech and the media.
