Twilight director reaches out to fans on Facebook

Die-hard “Twilight” fans may have been left feeling rather cautious recently, after it was announced that Oscar-winning director Bill Condon would in fact be taking charge of the next instalment of the vampire franchise, “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn.”

This prompted Bill to take to social networking website Facebook, where he posted an open letter in the hopes of being accepted by the millions of “Twilight” fans across the world. “I’m pretty busy bringing myself up to speed on what you already know by heart,” he began.

Condon went on to explain that he has read “Breaking Dawn” twice, rewatched Catherine and Chris’s movies about 2-3 times each and has all four CDs playing in his car. He also said he has Mark Cotta Vaz’s companion books, Catherine’s notebook and Volume 1 of the novel.

“I realize that this barely qualifies me for ‘newborn’ status in the universe you’ve been living inside for a few years now, but a guy’s gotta start somewhere,” he continued on to write. Condon’s movie will be the 4th to be released, and will be based on the 4th book in the series.
