Jim Carrey on Twitter: ‘I’m not having a breakdown’

Hollywood actor Jim Carrey appears to have a message for his Twitter followers: Don’t worry, I’m not having a breakdown.” The “I Love You Phillip Morris” star has caused a bit of an uproar on Twitter recently, by some of the things he’s been posting about.

The Canadian-born actor started it off by weighing in on philandering golfer Tiger Woods, only days after he announced that he and his girlfriend Jenny McCarthy had split. He then dissed Tiger’s wife Elin, saying she must have been blind not to know about his cheating.

“I think it’s time we checked our collective EGO and let the guy play,” Carrey said about Woods. A day later he posted a message on Twitter that said “Tiger Woods owes nothing 2 anyone but himself.” This of course caused outrage among his followers.

This was followed a day later with “I want 2 make it clear that I do not condone infidelity at all, but 2 some degree the responsibility 4 it is shared by both people.” He continued on to say “In any event, infidelity has never been an issue 4 me.”

And on Monday, he posted a long, rambling series of tweets on what he calls his avatar that didn’t really make any sense such as “Breaking News!Jim Carrey’s ambassador to the world is dead!He is survived by me,the actual Jim Carrey, who has opinions about stuff.”

If people were then starting to get worried about Jim, he reassured them with a final post that said “This is not breakdown! It’s a breakthrough! And if you’ll just loosen these straps, I’ll show you the difference!” Well, I’m not sure what to say to that!!
