Adam Lambert Twitter Conformation: American Idol Mentor Gig

American Idol season 8 runner-up Adam Lambert has confirmed on Twitter that he will be the mentor on next weeks show. This is certainly a great honor for the glam star to appear on the show again and have this year’s hopefuls hanging on every word of his to gain an insight.

Lambert must be happy getting this gig, as you can tell by his tweets on Twitter. Buddy TV picks up on the fact that parents will hope that Adam tones himself down and does not offer a repeat performance that he did at the American Music Awards.

Adam Lambert confirmed that he will mentor the 2010 contestants on April 13 and will perform on the show on April 14. He knows that he is just starting his career, but just hopes that he can offer sound advice to this years hopefuls.

Buddy TV
has been asking readers if they think that Adam Lambert has the qualifications to become a mentor – 42 percent say yes, 38 percent say no, while 20% say somewhat.

Do you think he should be mentor?

Adam Lambert will be a great mentor. Who better than someone who has actually been through the experience? If I were a contestant on Season 9, this is the mentor that I would be looking forward to. All the questions that these kids have regarding song choice and touring and the grueling schedule. Adam lived it all. We all looked forward to his songs last year. If I had to guess the theme for this coming week….it would be birthday year. Adam chose Mad World and received a standing ovation (the only one ever) from Simon Cowell. Adam's insight will help all of them.
