When the earthquake struck the Caribbean island of Haiti back in January, the social networking site Twitter came in really handy. Many people took to Twitter to search for messages from loved ones, while others used it to post photos that showed the devastation.
And it looks like Twitter is still playing a part in the situation surrounding Haiti, only this time it is to raise money for the island. A new video is set to be released soon, which will raise money for Artists for Peace and Justice, to benefit the Haitian School Initiative.
The video in question – which is available to pre-order at Amazon.com – is called “A Night of 140 Tweets: A Celebrity Tweetathon for Haiti.” And as you can gather by the title, it features 140 various celebrities and comedians, reading out their favorite tweets.
According to planet.out.com, the video in question is sponsored by Funny or Die, Stillerstrong.org and the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre, and features stars such as Busy Philipps, Ben Stiller, Will Ferrell, Rain Wilson and of course, Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore.
