An Indonesian military plane crash kills 49 today on Sumatra; the air force transport plane went down in the largest city of Medan not long after it took off. Local television captured the plane crash, which we cannot get a hold of just yet.
The C-130 Hercules aircraft crumbled a building and squashed a car, which caught alight, where the building contained homes and a spa, and people are still in shock after the impact.
Police chief Eko Hadi Sutedjo of North Sumatra said that the plane was carrying 50 people, but there was an uncertainty of how many were actually aboard because it traveled from the capital, Jakarta. But it also stopped a couple of times before getting to Medan on Sumatra. But according to Sky News they report, “The military says 12 people were on the plane.”
But as reported by CNN the C-130 Hercules took off at Jakarta’s Halim Perdanakusuma Airport, which had 113 people on board. But how many that were on the plane at the time is still uncertain.
No reports have come in as of yet regarding the cause of the Indonesian crash, if you know more please do comment below.
