Sony has officially announced that PSN messages will be down on April 22, 2015 for maintenance.
The PlayStation Network starting at 5.00 am (9pm PST) will run for 3 hours ending 8.00 am BST, which will affect PS3, PS4, PS Vita platforms and the PlayStation Mobile app.
This basically means gamers will not be able to delete, send or receive any message, as well as changing the group message title and adding members to a group message within this 3-hour period whilst the PSN maintenance is running. Do not worry about any other service, as these will not be affected in any way.
So there are no worries about online gaming on your PlayStation gaming devices, people are starting wonder if the PSN messaging maintenance will replace the monthly PlayStation-wide maintenance.
