Gamers will be a little set back today (March 23, 2015) because the PlayStation Network will be going offline for around 2.5 hours for a scheduled maintenance.
The official update over on PlayStation’s website states it will be down for 2.5 hours for a routine PSN maintenance from 16:00 until 18:30 GMT (9am-11: 30 am Pacific).
Make sure you have cached your details; otherwise you will not be able to login to your PSN account, or even start an online gaming session. PS4 users will be able to get online as long as they turned on their system as a Primary system, and of course you signed in to your SEN account, do NOT forget to have your authentication details cached.
It looks like PS3 and PS Vita gamers will have limited PlayStation network functionality, but online gameplay like for PS4 players can play online as long as they signed into their ‘SEN account and have their authentication details cached’.
Even though the official update states, “Log in prior to retain online play/app access,” Product-Reviews reports this may not work out for gamers, but they found no problems getting online with PS4. But they do state you must be logged into PSN before the scheduled maintenance takes place today.
