Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu shared his excitement by posting on his Twitter account it was “great victory”. This came after exit polls showing his right-wing Likud party, even with its main opponent, the center-left Zionist Union.
Netanyahu took to his Twitter with a couple of tweets showing his happiness, he was happy that against all odds it was a great victory for the Likud and the people of the country. He also said he was very proud of the people of Israel.
Benjamin Netanyahu’s conservative Likud Party too a clear lead in the 2015 Israel elections, boosting the prime minister’s bid for a fourth term. Likud party got 30 seats and Zionist Union 24 in the 120-seat Israeli parliament.
The twitter posts came as an early triumph even though he was in pre-election polls, but things look very good now. It is a major victory and with over 90% of ballots counted Zionist Union is at 19% and Likud at 23% of the votes.
Over on the officially verified בנימין נתניהו account @netanyahu the Prime Minister also posted a few other tweets, he said they would lower housing prices and the cost of living. As well as all family, citizen, soldier, Jewish or not are important to him. He said he would form a strong government to work for them. He also asks his followers to retweet in support of an undivided Jerusalem.
