Facebook like dip after inactive account removal

Facebook is now removing inactive accounts, the ones in question will be both memorialized and voluntarily deactivated accounts. This will of course show a dip in Facebook likes on your business page.

On Facebook’s blog they wrote an article explaining the changes, and over the next few weeks aforementioned accounts will be removed. This is being set to make audience data even more meaningful for businesses, which also means Facebook data will be more accurate and of course up-to-date / consistent.

The whole change is to provide businesses a more accurate, page admins will see a small dip in likes but it is all beneficial.

It will be much better for those who actively follow their page; it will also make it a lot easier for businesses to find people comparable to active followers. The update will occur over the next few weeks, Facebook have already removed comments and likes on individual posts that are from deactivated and memorialized accounts.

Facebook are making many changes, they are doing more with the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline, they also introduced new tools so people can report their friends if they post any sort of suicidal threat, this is where they can send help. Facebook also has Amber Alerts and much more.
