ISIS affiliates Cyber Caliphate hacked into Newsweek Twitter account yesterday as well as making threats towards President of the United States Barack Obama, wife Michelle and children.
Words such as “Je suis IS” and “CyberCaliphate,” are two references to French magazine Charlie Hebdo and a reference to Islamic State.
It was only in January 2015 when hackers gained access to the Pentagon’s social media accounts, and these tweets were rather harsh. One Newsweek Tweet was aimed at Michelle Obama saying Bloody Valentine’s Day. So now people are worried that the most romantic day of the year is going to be ruined.
A message posted to Newsweek was rather daunting, one part of it said, “You’ll see no mercy infidels.” As well as them saying they will be destroying national cyber security systems from inside. When they say inside does this mean they have people working on the inside, because normally hacks happen on the outside but gaining access on the inside.
Newsweek has since removed the CyberCaliphate tweets, last month hackers gained access to the U.S. Central Command when tweets were left saying they were going after American Soldiers.
