Marshawn Lynch Twitter tributes rapper The Jacka

Dominic Newton known as the East Bay rapper ‘The Jacka’ died after being shot in East Oakland, and since the news of his death Twitter tributes are still pouring in.

The Jacka also known by the name Shaheed Akbar after converting to Islam was shot dead Monday around 8:15 pm near MacArthur Boulevard and 94th Avenue.

After gunshots were heard the police were called to the scene, he was pronounced dead at the hospital after an apparent gunshot wound. No one has been caught in connection of the shooting as of yet.

Thousands are taking to Twitter to pay tribute to The Jacka, musicians and many venues around the world are paying their respects. The Jacka started his career in the 90s when he was a member of the Mob Figaz, and then it was in 2001 he embarked on his solo career.

He worked with Mistah F.A.B. and E-40; his latest album was called ‘What Happened To The World’.
