An aircraft carrying 5 crew and 53 passengers has crashed into a river after hitting a bridge on Penghu Island. The TransAsia flight GE 235 crash has left 15 people dead according to reports.
The aircraft took off from Taipei Songshan Airport on route to Kinmen islands, since the crash people have taken to social media to upload the TransAsia flight GE 235 crashing into the bridge.
Before crashing into the river the TransAsia Airways flight GE 235 banked rather sharply hitting a taxi, which then clipped the bridge.
Flight GE 235 took off at 10:53 am local time today (Wednesday).
