A man from the United States was involved in a Saudi Arabia shooting today leaving him wounded and in a stable condition.
Security concerns are a worry when it comes to the oil-exporting nation, CNN reports two U.S citizens were in a vehicle in the Eastern Province district of al-Ahsa when they came under fire.
No news has come in confirming who shot at the vehicle carrying the two men, but one of the men are in hospital in a stable condition after being shot in one of Saudi Arabia’s minority Shi’ites.
There is conflict in Syria, Iraq and Yemen and Saudi officials are apparently concerned with the spread of sectarian strife from the conflicts in these areas.
It was only October 2014 in Riyadh when a shooting occurred leaving one U.S. citizen dead and another wounded. Shot dead were seven Shi’ite Muslims in al-Ahsa where Saudi Arabia officials arrested four main suspects.
OSM will report more when more news comes in.
