Xbox Live went down a few hours ago and Anonymous is claiming responsibility over on its Twitter account @occupythemob. But there seems to be a few issues still occurring.
When the service went down people took to social media to vent their anger about Xbox Live being down again, it seems to be an ongoing trend at the moment with Microsoft. A few gamers experienced issues with playing Call of Duty Advance Warfare Havoc DLC, but majority were Xbox One users not being able to sign into Xbox Live.
Multiplayer games were not accessible; others said they could not access Netflix and YouTube. Both Facebook and Twitter were inundated with status messages and tweets to vent their anger. Microsoft did issue a statement saying they were aware of gamers having problems signing in to Xbox Live. The service was up and running not long after.
Anonymous @occupythemob posted a few tweets claiming responsibility for the Xbox Live take down, in one they said they have control of controls 80% of Xbox live servers because #BlackLivesMatter, they are also using the hashtag #AllLivesMatter. Looks like they want to get the point across that ‘All Lives Matter’ will matter when ‘Black Lives Matter’.
But, if you visit ‘Xbox Live Status’ you will see there is a limited problem, where gamers might be having issues posting game performances as well as viewing the performance of other Xbox Live members.
There seems to be a slight problem posting statistics to leaderboards for games such as Grand Theft Auto V and Minecraft. Apparently this is down to maintenance that is taking place now.
Are you having Xbox Live issues at all?
