Hackers “Lizard Squad’ officially took to Twitter to say they were going to dump some loot on Malaysia Airlines servers. Not long after the official MAS website went down, showing a picture of a plane and the words “404 – Plane Not Found.”
The 404 – Plane Not Found” are the standard words that will show when Malaysia Airlines website is not up and running. This is a nightmare for the airline company after the two last disasters, which include flight MH370 and MH17.
At one stage the words “ISIS WILL PREVAIL” was displayed in the browser tab, this was removed quickly, you have only got to visit Twitter to see the Lizard Squad have been up to no good.
It all started when Lizard Squad @LizardMafia tweeted the URL of Malaysia Airlines website, from there they asked @MAS to write Lizard Squad on their foreheads. This is when MAS took to its Twitter account to announce to its customers that they may experience problems accessing its website, not long after they tweeted again with the words, “[MEDIA STATEMENT]: User data is secured. 26th January 2015.” This tweet had a link directing you to its Facebook post.
Lizard Squad soon replied to the @MAS media statement, LS said “[MEDIA STATEMENT]: We would like to point out that @MAS is lying about user data not being compromised. Refer to earlier imgur link.”
Do you believe Malaysia Airlines or Lizard Squad when it comes to the site being hacked?
