Facebook could be banned in Turkey if they do not comply with a Turkish court to ban / remove all pages that insult prophet Mohammed.
A Turkish court has stepped up and told authorities they have to block access in Turkey to any Facebook page that insults Muhammad, which is a new move to censor the Internet.
If Facebook does not implement this censorship then they will be blocked as a whole in the country.
This is the second ruling in a short period, the first ruling was the ban all access in Turkey to any web page showing the French satirical newspaper Charlie Hebdo showing or representing the prophet.
YouTube and Twitter was already shutdown in 2014 after recordings were leaked, these recording suggested dishonesty by people close to President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
Last year, Turkey closed down access to after a series of leaked recordings. Turkey’s highest court later overturned the ban.
