NFL Patriots coach Bill Belichick talked about the DeflateGate scandal in a press release recently and people are questioning him on social media channels, mainly Twitter.
In the conference he talked a lot, mentioning he made it as tricky as possible for his players when it comes to the footballs, he would make them wet, slippery, cold, sticky etc in training.
He also said the New England Patriots “followed every rule, to the letter” when it came down to the inflation of footballs during the AFC Championship game.
The Belichick press conference video below uploaded by ‘News Crashers’ does not mention anything about the Colts footballs not being affected in the same way as the Patriots balls. But what Belichick did say was that the Patriots played a normal game day state, and they did find the pressure of the footballs do change when they are taken outside.
When Bill heard of the ball deflation claims, he said he was shocked and doesn’t have any kind of explanation for it. He said, “I don’t have an explanation for what happened” The NFL are continuing investigations on why 11 out of 12 game balls were not the right air pressure, they were reportedly to be 2 psi under the requirement, standard NFL psi is between 12.5-13.5.
