The Oscar 2015 nominations were announced yesterday, and since Tweets under the Twitter hashtag #OscarsSoWhite have been coming in with a lot of anger attached to them.

Many complaints are coming including those outraged that “Selma” picked up the Best Film category nomination, but then the Academy snubbed lead actor David Oyelowo and director Ava DuVernay.

Selma only got two Academy Awards nominations; people believe the lead actor and director should have got nominated.

#OscarNoms is now trending in Twitter, but people are still tweeting using the hashtag #OscarsSoWhite. One tweet said, “Why are people getting the ars*, there are award shows for black people only.” Other people have said, what about MOBO or 365Black Awards, these are predominantly black people.
